Every so often, people ask me why I moved to Boise. You might remember from an earlier blog post that my family opened L. Fish furniture in Chicago back in 1858, long before I opened a mattress store in Boise, Idaho.
So, why am I in Boise?
Simple. God brought me here.
I prayed for a change in my life and this is where I ended up. For a long time, I was very unhappy with my life. Somehow, He brought me here.
I must admit, at first it was rough. My mattress store almost went out of business that first year. Then somehow, some way, people started walking in my door and buying mattresses.
It wasn’t what I did, it was God.
I spend a good portion of my day in prayer and meditation.
I don’t go to a particular church. I walk and I hike in the foothills. Recently, I spent 4 hours meditating while hiking. On any given day, I’ll spend 1-5 hours in meditation and prayer.
I rely on that.
God guided me here and has helped me along the way. But, you’ve got to put the effort in, too.
